Irene Calboli is a Regents Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law, where she specializes in Intellectual Property Law, International Trade, and Comparative Law. A world-renowned expert in her field, Professor Calboli has held visiting positions at prestigious institutions and regularly lectures in universities and Intellectual property academies worldwide. She is a prolific author and has published 11 books and over 100 articles, book chapters, and policy reports. In 2022, she was a Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics in Finland and, in 2018, a Fulbright Specialist Scholar at the Royal University of Law and Economics in Cambodia. She is a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals, including the Oxford Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice, the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property, and the WIPO-WTO Colloquium Papers. An elected member of the American Law Institute and the European Law Institute, she serves on the European Policy for Intellectual Property Law Association board and is the Chair of the Comparative Law and European Law Sections of the Association of American Law School. She regularly advises national governments and international organizations and is currently an Expert for the World Intellectual Property Organization, the World Trade Organization, the U.N. International Trade Center, and the European Union.
