Gendering Transitional Justice: Between Theory and Practice

The Minerva Center for Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, and the Sophie Davis Forum on Gender, Conflict Resolution and Peace at the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations, in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, are happy to announce a new series of symposia titled Engendering Transitional Justice – Between Theory and Practice. The first symposium in the series is devoted to Local and Comparative Perspectives, and will take place on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, from 09:30-15:45, at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, 43 Jabotinsky St., Jerusalem. 

 

The Keynote Presentation will be given by Prof. Fionnuala Ni-Aolain of the University of Minnesota and Queen’s University Belfast, one of the leading academics in the world in the field. Additional speakers include Prof. Chris Dolan of the University of Warwick, Dr. Pascha Bueno-Hansen of the University of Delaware and Dr. Areen Hawari of Mada al-Carmel – Arab Center for Applied Social Research. The event will conclude with a civil society roundtable discussion.
