The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Tali Gal as faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (jointly appointed in Law and Criminology). Prof. Gal will be the inaugural holder of a new Chair in Children and Youth Rights and will head a new program on this important topic - the first of its kind in Israel - at the Minerva Center for Human Rights at the Hebrew University.
Prof. Gal graduated from the Faculty of Law (Cum Laude) in 1995. and holds an LL.M. (Cum Laude) from American University in Washington, D.C. (2000) and a PhD from Australian National University, supervised by Prof. John Braithwaite (2006). She returns to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem after very fruitful years at the University of Haifa, including four years as head of the School of Criminology. Welcome, Prof. Gal!
