Good news:

The Faculty of Law of the Hebrew University maintains its status as the leading faculty in Israel and as one of the best law faculties in the world. According to the Shanghai Jiatong University's Shanghai Ranking for 2021, our faculty is ranked 30th in the world and 1st in Israel. This is an impressive and continuous increase: last year we were ranked 33rd in the world and two years ago 36th.

The Shanghai Ranking focuses on research quality and examines over four thousand academic institutions and over fifty fields including the natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences and social sciences. The index assigns scores according to several parameters: the number of published articles on the subject, international citations of academic research, international collaboration in research, publications in leading journals and winning academic awards in the field.

The Shanghai Ranking is considered the most important university index in the world, along with the Times Index and the QS Ranking conducted by the international company Quacquarelli Symonds.
